Official summary

Facing the threat of Irontomb, cosmic forces allied under the leadership of the Astral Express. Himeko, Welt, and others entered Amphoreus according to plan, witnessing the moment you transformed into the Worldbearing Titan and traversed the sky dome.

Synopsis

This mission is played from Himeko's perspective (a "Fate's Ensemble" chapter that hands the player Himeko as the viewpoint character). It carries the story out of Amphoreus and into the assembling Cosmic Alliance, then back through the world's threshold to the moment the Trailblazer, now the Worldbearing Titan, wakes to a remade world. All of it happens NOW — there are no flashbacks; the only "past" is the millennium the Trailblazer slept, recounted after the fact.

Act I — The Xianzhou Alliance debates the campaign (beyond the sky)

Far outside Amphoreus, at the Seat of Divine Foresight on the Xianzhou Luofu, an Arbiter-Generals meeting closes on unrelated business — Jing Yuan notes that per the Ten-Lords Commission's decree, Jingliu and Luocha remain detained in the Xuling — before the real subject surfaces: the campaign against Irontomb. The Xianzhou Alliance has authorized only the Luofu to deploy. Feixiao ("Merlin's Claw") is wary, warning that once the Luofu gets its hands on the golden blood, Jingliu's connection to Jing Yuan could be spun into something politically dangerous. Jing Yuan brushes it off, framing the operation as a triple win for the Luofu: seize the golden blood to redeem the Luofu's standing, leverage it in negotiations, and satisfy all three generals.

The seer Yao Guang of the Yuque offers a grim divination. Amphoreus's karma has vanished from the Matrix of Prescience — in divination terms an "empty fortune," an uncertainty that "involves the Aeons" and lies beyond mortal comprehension. She judges that for Nous the Cobalt Head, Irontomb's emergence is "a calculated Instant," but she does not believe Nous will simply wait for death; for the powers of the cosmos this crisis is a chance at survival and a lever on interstellar affairs, and every faction rallying under the Astral Express carries its own agenda.

Feixiao delivers the mission's key strategic warning. She fought Celenova's Legion at the Battle of the Sedounirama Star Cluster and knows that Voidrangers are disposable, but Nanook's Emanators — the Lord Ravagers — are THEIR weapons to burn down the Paths, and conventional tactics are useless against them. To take one down, she says, "we must disregard casualties and spare no cost." Her fear: one wrong move drags the Luofu back into Phantylia's trap and closer to Destruction. Jing Yuan answers that doubt is precisely the demon Phantylia wants planted, and recites the opening of the Alliance Oath — "To save future generations from war and bloody dispute" — pledging that now that the Trailblaze walks alongside them, the Cloud Knights will keep their oath. He hopes only that "those on the frontline" stay safe.

Act II — The Express Crew infiltrates Amphoreus

Aboard the Parlor Car, Black Swan reports the Chronocognitive Anchor is signaling. Herta reviews the two-pronged plan one last time: the Express Crew will enter Amphoreus, reunite with the three separated companions (the Trailblazer, March 7th, Dan Heng), and locate Irontomb from within; meanwhile she and Screwllum ("Screwy") will keep hammering the Demiurge Matrix — the Scepter's kernel — from the outside. Welt decides that with the fate of the universe at stake, everyone except Pom-Pom should join the fight; Sunday volunteers whatever he can do. Himeko returns with news that, with Planet Screwllum's help, the cosmic alliance against Irontomb is coming together smoothly, and Screwllum notes the cosmos now waits only for "the first shot."

Herta's assistant tool the Fourth Mirror — finally "off the bench" — initiates Thought Refraction, jokingly waives the safety protocols on everyone's behalf, and launches the crew to Amphoreus.

Act III — The Vortex of Genesis, and the Alliance negotiations

The crew arrives inside the Vortex of Genesis. Sunday remarks that the flow of memoria here is far heavier than Penacony's Dreamscape — this place has built "a true epic measured in millennia." Black Swan confirms the significance: the Vortex is "where all myths begin and end," this is the new world the Trailblazer created, and the infinite cycles have been broken. Himeko sets up a Trailblaze beacon to reach the outside. Black Swan and Sunday deliberately stay out of sight — Black Swan does not want to show herself before the Garden of Recollection, and advises Sunday to keep hidden too.

The alliance conference call opens. Fu Xuan answers for the Xianzhou Alliance and Aventurine for the Interastral Peace Corporation; the Galaxy Rangers and the Family both stay silent, which Aventurine finds unsurprising for the Rangers but pointed for the Family. Jade joins, ranking this battle's significance alongside the campaign against Zulo and pledging the Ten Stonehearts in the name of Preservation. She delivers a sobering escalation: the collapse of Erudition would not only affect inorganic beings — Irontomb can infect organic life too. Aventurine tempers it: so far the infection is slow and the resulting neuropathy is non-fatal, and the IPC can guarantee targeted vaccine coverage within 48 system hours across its medical network.

The negotiation turns transactional. Jade offers all worlds vaccines at a "humanitarian discount," but angles for Xianzhou assistance with IPC assets in Epsilon and other systems — worlds Fu Xuan pointedly notes are all places the Elation has visited. Fu Xuan, relaying for the Seven Arbiter-Generals, agrees in principle on the condition that the IPC unconditionally assist the Alliance's emergency rescue operations in the disaster areas. Himeko thanks all parties. Afterward, Black Swan and Sunday observe that every faction still has reservations — this clash between Destruction and Erudition is, as Sunday puts it, "a moment for all factions to reshuffle their cards." Welt resolves to dive deeper into the Vortex and see Amphoreus from the inside.

Optional — contacting the allies (via Chronocognitive Anchor):

  • IPC (Aventurine): Even the Strategic Investment Department is hamstrung on Irontomb. Aventurine hints other IPC departments may extend "olive branches," and asks — half-threat, half-sincere — that the Express remember the Ten Stonehearts stood with the Trailblaze when few would. He reveals the IPC's internal fracture has deepened: the standing feud between Diamond and Oswaldo Schneider held an uneasy truce until the Lord Ravager Archforger "caught the Board's attention" (details withheld as confidential).
  • Xianzhou Alliance (Fu Xuan): Good news — the Seven Arbiter-Generals reconsidered. Officially only the Luofu deploys, but the Yaoqing has been positioned in the surrounding war zone as a contingency (a hard-won concession from the Hunt-aligned generals). Fu Xuan admits the Xianzhou seeks something from this operation, but the Marshal herself decided to send troops. She tells Himeko to save the jade abacus of allying oath for a more dire moment.
  • The Family (Robin): Robin, appearing only in disguise, apologizes on behalf of the Penaconian branch: the Family gave essentially no response to their aid request. But because Himeko is a Penacony shareholder, the family heads permit Robin to lead all Asdanian tuners to the front, and her charitable foundation will support the wounded and affected regions.
  • Galaxy Rangers: No response — as expected of an elusive bunch.
  • Belobog: A contact request comes in from Bronya and Serval. Topaz made a special trip to deliver the vaccine to Belobog. Jarilo-VI sits on the outskirts of the Preservation barricade — spared the first wave but exposed to aftershocks. Gepard and Pela organize the Silvermane Guards; Seele and Lynx work the Geomarrow production chain. Seele declines to send a message to the guards, not wanting to shake morale. Bronya reports they have resealed most of the Engine of Creation beneath the ice, so the will of Preservation cannot become "an accomplice to the Destruction." She refuses evacuation help with quiet defiance: "Jarilo-VI is our home. We will defend it to our last breath."

Act IV — Okhema emptied, and March 7th the Titan

Descending through the spirit basin into Okhema, the crew finds the holy city eerily abandoned — no citizens anywhere. Everything looks freshly lived-in: fruit newly cut on the tables, bathwater still at the right temperature. Black Swan's Remembrance senses the place "was bustling with people just moments ago," as if everyone vanished in an instant. They rule out "Zandar" (still under Herta and Screwllum's watch); Sunday, unsettled, compares the total silence to disquieting rumors about the Harmony.

A voice finishes his thought — "Is often the prelude to divine intervention" — heralding March 7th, now the Time Titan Veil of Evernight, playing the ominous prophet in full Amphoreus theatrical style. Black Swan is startled ("Evernight? How is this possible!? She was already..."), but the entity clarifies she is now the chronicler of Time who does not fade. She announces the pivotal reveal: the last Era Nova has been completed, and the citizens did not vanish — the Remembrance became the substance of the new world. The three Nameless forerunners are "no longer the trailblazers you once knew, but gods who permeate heaven and earth... the Twelve Titans who guard Amphoreus."

Himeko sees through the act ("Stop fooling around, March. Come on out"), and March drops the theatrics, embarrassed at being spotted so fast. She explains the drifting jellyfish are minor manifestations of the Veil of Evernight, used for scouting and communication. Because of the Trailblazer's new world, "we all turned into Titans" — they can wear humanoid forms but it "feels off." She refuses to spoil what the Trailblazer looks like now, teasing only that they look "way more majestic" than before, and directs the crew to follow the prophecy's guidance to Dawncloud.

Act V — Dawncloud, the pilgrimage, and the new pantheon

At "Demigod Council" Dawncloud, the crew finds the entire population of the holy city gathered — not a mere assembly but a pilgrimage, faces devout, awaiting a miracle. Above them looms a colossal deity: the Trailblazer, become "the pillar of the world." March explains the citizens answered the prophecy's call to witness the Trailblazer's awakening — and that the Trailblazer has been slumbering. Because of the enormous time dilation between the inside and outside of the Scepter, sleeping was the only way to wait for the crew to arrive. She recites the new prophecy:

Veil of Evernight, March 7th: "Time watches over yesterday. Earth guards today. And when the Trailblaze steps into Amphoreus once more, the slumbering Deliverer shall awaken... And then, bring the prophecy of 'tomorrow' to this world."

Passing through Dawncloud, the crew hears the citizens' litany of praise — a new pantheon in which each fallen Chrysos Heir now stands as a Titan of the remade world, each explicitly tied to a cosmic Path:

  • Tribios, Gate of Infinity — opening passages, bringing wanderers into Harmony
  • Cerydra, Scale of Justice — laws that arbitrate good and evil, making Order the cornerstone of freedom
  • Aglaea, Chrysalis of Gold — golden threads weaving Beauty, letting lonely souls find romance
  • Anaxagoras, Bough of Rift — fruit on the tree of reason, finding Erudition amidst imperfection
  • Helektra, Chalice of Plenty — brewing the ocean into wine, dispelling Nihility with every toast
  • Hyacinthia, Eye of Twilight — a rainbow turning dawn and dusk into the glimmer of Preservation
  • Cifera, Coin of Whimsy — each flip reflecting destiny, letting Elation's tricks light the path to dawn
  • Mydeimos, Lance of Fury — strife piercing hatred and cruelty, the eternal glory of The Hunt
  • Castorice, Hand of Shadow — gently ferrying death so it is a homecoming, not an end, in Equilibrium
  • Dan Heng, Pillar of Stone — a mountain range, the backbone of Permanence
  • March 7th, Veil of Evernight — safeguarding time, weaving Remembrance into stars

Black Swan recalls once glimpsing, in the Trailblazer's memory, a vision of them transformed into a towering Tatalov; March dismisses it as merely "a nice dreamscape." Sunday muses that if the Trailblazer is now the "Throne of Worlds" who bears the world, perhaps they could guide "a traveler still wandering among the stars" — his own veiled hope — and reflects that "the so-called 'fool' and the 'world' are merely a step apart."

Act VI — The awakening, and the refusal of godhood

The herald Serena calls the city to witness: "Our last Titan, the Worldbearing (Trailblazer), is about to awaken!" The people kneel before the throne and beg for guidance. Within the divine body, the Trailblazer stirs — and delivers the mission's emotional climax by refusing the mantle of god:

Throne of Worlds, (Trailblazer): "But I am not the Deliverer... Rather, I am the Nameless who dwells among mortals... I heard your prayers... The Coreflames flickered and dimmed... and the age of the gods met its end..."

Declaring the age of gods over, the Trailblazer chooses to return the golden blood to the people rather than rule them:

Throne of Worlds, (Trailblazer): "So flow, golden blood... flow... I'll bestow it upon you... returning it to the true masters of this world... Stand with me... and become heroes...!"

Golden blood rains down over Dawncloud like a storm. Himeko recognizes it as the miracle the Trailblazer brought to Amphoreus — one that, fittingly, "manifests in the form of the Trailblaze." Serena proclaims that the Titan commands the people not to be supplicants but to become heroes of rebellion, facing the destined calamity — the Destruction — head-on. The Trailblazer renounces the "Deliverer" prophecy entirely, saying it now belongs "in the hands of someone far more fitting... someone like all of you," and sounds the departure:

Throne of Worlds, (Trailblazer): "In the name of Khaslana (Bearer of Chaos), let us depart and march towards the light!"

Sunday reads the moment precisely: "It's neither protection nor salvation" — no totems, no myths — "humanity's most primal faith is that instinct named 'survival.'" Welt calls the crew to move, echoing the Trailblaze creed: "Explore, understand, establish, and connect... Together, let us blaze a trail for the destiny of this world." (Unlocks the achievement The End of Light.)

The mission closes by cutting to Herta's POV: Herta and Screwllum are proceeding toward the Scepter's core layer — setting up the next mission.

Key characters

  • Himeko — POV character. Leads the Express Crew's infiltration, plants the Trailblaze beacon in the Vortex, brokers the alliance negotiations, and reads the Trailblazer's golden-blood miracle as the Trailblaze made manifest.
  • Trailblazer — Wakes within Amphoreus as the colossal Worldbearing Titan / "Throne of Worlds." Refuses to rule as a god, returns the golden blood to the people, and calls all of Amphoreus to become heroes and face the Destruction — in the name of Khaslana.
  • March 7th / Veil of Evernight — Now the Time Titan of the new world. Greets the crew in theatrical prophet-mode, explains the completed Era Nova and the crew's transformation into Titans, and guides them to Dawncloud.
  • Welt — Directs the crew (all but Pom-Pom deploy); voices the Trailblaze creed at the close.
  • Black Swan — Uses Remembrance to read Okhema's abrupt emptiness; hides from the Garden of Recollection; recalls the Trailblazer's "Tatalov" dream-vision.
  • Sunday — Feels the millennia-deep memoria; offers the mission's thematic commentary (silence as prelude to divine intervention; the fool and the world; survival as humanity's primal faith); quietly hopes the world-bearing Trailblazer might guide him.
  • Herta & Screwllum — Run the external assault on the Demiurge Matrix / Scepter kernel; the mission ends as they advance on the core layer.
  • Jing Yuan / Feixiao / Yao Guang — Xianzhou Arbiter-Generals debating the Luofu's deployment; Feixiao warns of Lord Ravagers and Phantylia's trap; Yao Guang divines Amphoreus's "empty fortune."
  • Fu Xuan / Aventurine / Jade / Robin / Bronya / Serval / Topaz / Seele — Alliance contacts; establish the coalition's terms, the IPC vaccine, the Family's silence, and Belobog's defiant resolve.
  • Serena — Dawncloud's herald who announces the Trailblazer's awakening.

Lore notes

  • The final Era Nova is complete; the cycles are broken. Inside Amphoreus the remade "New World" already exists: Black Swan confirms "the infinite cycles have been broken," and the world was at peace "not long ago." This directly continues the ritual that ended 3.6.
  • The three Nameless are now Titans of the new world. The Trailblazer, March 7th, and Dan Heng became the guardian Titans of Amphoreus — the Trailblazer as Worldbearing / Throne of Worlds (Kephale's seat), March as Veil of Evernight (Time / Oronyx), Dan Heng as Pillar of Stone (Earth / Georios, per the litany). They can take humanoid form but it "feels off."
  • The new pantheon maps each demigod to a cosmic Path. The Dawncloud litany explicitly pairs the twelve authorities with Paths: Tribios→Harmony, Cerydra→Order, Aglaea→Beauty, Anaxagoras→Erudition, Helektra→Nihility, Hyacinthia→Preservation, Cifera→Elation, Mydeimos→The Hunt, Castorice→Equilibrium, Dan Heng→Permanence, March 7th→Remembrance. This is the clearest in-world statement mapping Amphoreus's authorities onto the HSR Path system. [?] The Trailblazer/Worldbearing's Path is left unstated here (Trailblaze, implicitly).
  • The new prophecy of "tomorrow." "Time watches over yesterday. Earth guards today. And when the Trailblaze steps into Amphoreus once more, the slumbering Deliverer shall awaken... and bring the prophecy of 'tomorrow' to this world." The chapter title "As Tomorrow Became Yesterday" hangs on this line; the Trailblazer slept a millennium (time dilation across the Scepter) awaiting the crew.
  • The Trailblazer refuses godhood — "I am not the Deliverer... but the Nameless who dwells among mortals" — and returns the golden blood to the people, converting a pantheon of worshippers into "heroes of rebellion" against the Destruction. A deliberate inversion of the original prophecy's "Deliverer," passed to "all of you." Sunday: no protection or salvation, only the instinct of survival. Achievement: The End of Light.
  • Irontomb infects organic life (new detail): the collapse of Erudition would affect organic beings too, via a slow, currently non-fatal neuropathy; the IPC's targeted vaccine can cover its medical network within 48 system hours. Escalates Irontomb's threat beyond inorganic life.
  • "Empty fortune" — Yao Guang's divination term for Amphoreus's karma having vanished from the Matrix of Prescience; glossed as "uncertainty" involving the Aeons. Continues the 3.6 thread that Amphoreus's causality has left the Matrix as Nous's "Instant" nears.
  • Lord Ravagers as Nanook's weapons — Feixiao frames the Ravagers (Nanook's Emanators) as tools "to burn down the Paths," immune to conventional strategy, requiring total sacrifice to defeat. New named Ravager: Archforger, whose emergence "caught the IPC Board's attention" and is deepening the Diamond–Oswaldo feud.
  • New terms / items: Trailblaze beacon (Himeko's contact device in the Vortex); jade abacus of allying oath (Xianzhou diplomatic token, saved for future need); Deca-Light Reflection Barrier (the Yuque's, Yao Guang's context); Fourth Mirror's "Thought Refraction" (the crew's insertion method into Amphoreus).
  • The Garden of Recollection remains a threat. Black Swan refuses to appear before the Garden and keeps Sunday hidden too — continuing 3.6's warning that the Garden/Fuli is the heroes' (and March's) adversary.
  • Belobog resealed the Engine of Creation beneath the ice "to prevent the will of the Preservation from becoming an accomplice to the Destruction" — a callback to the Belobog arc, and a thematic note on how Preservation could be turned against the Paths.

Connections:

  • Resolves the immediate aftermath of the 3.6 final Era Nova by showing the completed New World and the three Nameless as its Titans.
  • Advances Open Thread #1 (final battle with Irontomb): the Cosmic Alliance forms; Herta/Screwllum move on the Scepter kernel / Demiurge Matrix; the mission ends on that assault beginning.
  • Continues #3 (Garden of Recollection's designs) via Black Swan and Sunday hiding from the Garden.
  • The Trailblazer's golden-blood-to-the-people act reframes the golden-blood-as-Destruction thread (#5): the "true masters of this world" become heroes rather than fuel.
  • Reintroduces the wider HSR cast (Xianzhou, IPC, the Family, Belobog) into the Amphoreus endgame as the promised cross-faction coalition (#6).

Sources

Hindsight (full arc)

  • Foreshadowing: The Cosmic Alliance assembled here (Xianzhou, IPC, the Family, Belobog, Genius Society) is the force that deploys in the m04 battle and holds the line through m05; Yao Guang's "empty fortune" (Amphoreus's karma vanished from the Matrix of Prescience) pays off as the sealed-causality fixed point Cyrene creates in m06/m07.
  • Foreshadowing: The Dawncloud litany pairing each demigod with a Path is re-performed as the thirteen-color consecration that beats Irontomb in m05.
  • Reread with the reveal: The Trailblazer refusing godhood and raining the golden blood back on the people reads against the 3.4 reveal that golden blood is Destruction's (Nanook's), not Kephale's — the Trailblazer hands Destruction's own fuel to the people as "heroes of rebellion," inverting the Scepter's design that the Heirs were "fuel for the Aeon to burn the universe."
  • Reread with the reveal: Okhema emptied because "the Remembrance became the substance of the new world" reads with the m06/m07 reveal that Amphoreus survives only as memory — a seed preserved in As I've Written; the citizens were not killed but folded into a memory-world.
  • [?] resolved: The doc's [?] on the Trailblazer/Worldbearing's Path is answered in m05 — as Khaslana the Trailblazer consecrates Destruction (Month of Freedom), while the Trailblazer + Cyrene together are the thirteenth light, the Trailblaze.
